My iPad bag

Parisian Browning Essence
I had a nice piece of white linen left over from years ago so I dyed one piece with parisian essence and a smaller piece in strong black coffee. When we were in Warrnambool I carried my iPad and realised I needed a bag to put it in to make life easier. So I decided to make one for myself, similar to a satchel bag I made in the past. I then thought it would look nice with a nice stitchery on the flap, so I am going to use Anni Downs stitchery from her book Some kind of wonderful.I absolutely love the bag pattern and plan on making it for myself at a latter stag. For now I will reduce the original pattern to fit the front of my iPad satchel.

Warnambool update

We went for a long walk before breakfast following the path outside our hotel. There are so many walking tracks to pick from. The promenade is a scenic 5.7 kilometre track stretching along the foreshore.

After breakfast we went shopping and exploring the township.

After lunch on to Logan's beach whale viewing platform unfortunately no whales.....

My Garden Quilt

I started a new stitchery project. Garden Scenes Quilt from Lynette Anderson's book Country Cottage Quilting. I have started block 1 but still have to add the appliqué bird once I decide on my fabrics. They are the most adorable little Stitcheries to work on. I will post more pictures of the blocks as I complete them.

Raining Cats & Dogs

Block 10

Sunday, it’s been a lovely day here the sun has been out most of the day with a slight breeze. I was able to put on a couple of loads of washing and not worry about rain, a nice change... I managed to finish block 10, and decided to start on the borders. Monday was very productive and I finished adding the borders. My next big decision is whether to quilt it myself or send it off to the quilters.
