My first 12" Mini Swap

I joined Chez's 12" mini swap which is a flower theme and my first ever swap.
I have now finished mine and it is ready to send to my partner, who is a secret and I can't say who it is ,lol.
This is one of my favourite blocks from Faye Anderson applique-designs-my-mother-taught-me-to sew   quilt which I finished in January 2012.
I had so much fun making this, I hope my partner likes this mini as much as I do .

Vases

Yoko Saito quilt from Floral Bouquet p.6
66.4  x 61.4 cm

I finished the top and I am ready to start hand quilting and adding the 60 or so cobblestones around the quilt border. The whole book is in Japanese so I only have pictures and measurement to go by, which is ok except for the cobblestones. From what I can see they are added after the cable quilting is done on the border as some of them cover the quilting. Anyway that is what I have decided to do :)

FNSI

I spent last night preparing some blocks for a little project I hope to work on this week using my Japanese fabrics. They are simple designs and won't take much effort to needle turn and hopefully will keep my mind off my rash which is very itchy. I have had a rash for the past six weeks which has now spread all over my body. After creams and antibiotics from my doctor ,I am now waiting to see a skin specialist on Tuesday.

Pop over to Wendy's Blog to see all the other lovely projects
for FNSI.

She is running the show for Heidi and Bobbi……
