Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. I have been having a small blogging break and will continue for a little longer yet. The next couple of weeks I will be catching up with family, friends and local sightseeing.
Happy and Safe New Year.

I packed my basket and headed off to Shelley's place for our Christmas break up this morning. The year has flown by so quickly ...whew. I had a few more projects to finish off on the weekend but instead spent most of it sleeping. ( I think I caught a sleeping bug ). Anyway it was a wonderful day and as usual Shelley was the perfect hostess and the table looked beautiful with all the swap presents and later food. Just a couple of pictures most of us are photo shy......

Inside lots of beautifully wrapped presents and one with a card that read Post Christmas survival kit open now. Attached to it,a beautiful hand made card (which I will treasure ) and inside the box Michelle's book of 8 quilted labels and red thread. Yummy snacks, English tea, latte coffee and a tube of gorgeous hand cream.

Well it's getting to that time of year when old friends come out to say Hello.
Mr and Mrs Mouse came out to tell us the story "The Night Before Christmas" by Bunny Hill.
Cinnamon Stick Santa joined in with Tartan Santa and Smiley Reindeer to check out the decorations. They came to live with us last Christmas when it was time for them to leave lovely Keryn at Christmas Creations. (....p.s. I'm sure she has lots more lovely Santa's etc for adoption......)
Gail Pan's Elve's are watching over the stairs for visitors to make them welcome.
The birds are making sure the candles are ready and Woody Reindeer is on the lookout for Santa and his sleigh.

I managed to work on "My Town Placemat" making the houses from the new Tilda book Homemade & Happy. Friday morning I woke up with a bad bout of hayfever so much so I pulled out of going to my sit and sew at Sewn and Quilted in the afternoon, preferring to stay indoors and have an early start on FNSI . Well no no no that didn't happen ,once the hayfever got to the point I could actually put my head down and see stitches without sneezing I noticed something in the corner of my eye. Thinking it was a thread I asked Jim to take it off for me,he said there was nothing there to go and flush my eye out and put some eye drops in. I did but it got uncomfortable and more threads seemed to appear, I rang my optometrist and made an appointment for the morning after being told that it sounded like eye floaters and should be looked at. So not much progress on my stitching. This morning after several eye test and drops he confirmed it was eye floaters in my eye, not serious and should get better on its own anywhere between a week to several months. But if it got worse and a few other things to look out for I was to go back. Hehe ......all I cared about was can I still sew...... The answer Yes ....ok then I am happy again:)))))
