Sneak Peek and Top Up

Sneak peek and Top up.
A visit to Sewn and Quilted and I came back a very happy little vegemite. Cornelia and Linley were very helpful and understanding. I managed to refrain from signing up for not one but two BOM programs. I did finally have a little spend on topping up my French General range, which is acceptable as this is my main range of fabrics for any of my projects. A pattern (secret sewing ).... And of course Quiltmania magazine.  Oh I almost forgot I have finally decided what to make for FHFS...............it was a toss up between two different projects :-)

Fabric Box

I've spent the first week of the new year on little projects that I have been wanting to do but never got around to doing and test driving a few new projects. This is one of the projects that I made using the pattern from Shabby Art Boutique.

One Flower Wednesday 1,,,,

My first lot of flowers for 2014 added  to background fabric. Thanks Karen for hosting ! If you would like to see other lovely flowers go here to watch them bloom.

Journey of a Quilter thanks Karen.....

If you would like to join our little Garden Party, the only requirement is to make at least one hexagon flower every Wednesday and post your progress at least once a month. Posting on a Wednesday would be ideal and make it easier for others to follow your progress.  My garden is now complete with a total of 105 flowers.

You can make your hexagon flowers any size or colour you like and you can even piece them together any way you like, but remember, they mustbe traditional hexagon flowers!  Please do not substitute other forms of hexagons, such as hexagon diamonds as flowers.  I would like to keepOne Flower Wednesday as it was originally intended.  I am English paper piecing mine and would also like to try hand piecing some flowers one day.  Of course, this would require me to start another flower garden!

To become a Garden Party Member

Just place the lovely logo Valentina has designed for One Flower Wednesday on your sidebar and don't forget to use the Sign In Sheet on the weeks you are posting.

Chairs

I finally changed the fabric on these two chairs . They originally had lovely cream fabric covering them but with time they became unattractive with use as extras at the dinner table.

Door Stop

Door stop and Pocket curtain. We keep our laundry door open when it's very cold or very hot so the dogs can come inside, unfortunately  one lot of shelving is on show when the door is opened, so I made the curtain to cover the shelves and the door stop to match. Also I can put some lavender in the pocket to keep the laundry nice and fresh. I got the idea of the door stop from shabby art boutique..thanks Shez's for the link.

Chateau Hexagon

My first post , the beginning of another year 2014 starting with new inspirations and thoughts of finishing my UFOs and trimming my fabric stash. Only starting a new project if and when a UFO is completely finished.............

Chateau hexagon block 7 ....this represents a driveway ....slightly wonky :-)...with a pond in the centre of the driveway. Wonder what the next block will look like ....the gaps are where all the buttons will eventually be sewn on ....
