Dutch Treat

Dutch Treat

I have joined  Fiona  and 4 others in stitching Dutch Treat, it will be lovely to work on a quilt in a group on line (a first for me). I am looking forward to seeing the different colours also  encouraging one another ( whew I think we will all need encouragement with this quilt, working with 41/2" blocks)

I am using French General for the background fabric and a Moda Grunge for foreground.

Like Fiona I also struggled with the reverse appliqué. The first block took me two days to finish the second block was much better and easier to stitch.

Happy stitching.........

Are all the blocks made using reverse applique? This is an ambitious project but will be worth it.
Love your blocks.

Your blocks look amazing Helen, reverse applique takes a while to get your head around doesn't it, but looks so good. Love your colours.

Have a look at this post. This was done by one of the Kilmore ladies. It is a beautiful quilt.
