Fabric Origami Candle Mat

A relaxing day with some light stitching projects. I have wanted to make a fabric origami candle mat for some time. I found Babs free lessons ,found some modern fabric and ended up with this candle mat and a table topper. All that is missing is some tinsel for the candle. A couple of presents for under the Christmas tree.

For the free pattern and easy to follow instructions.

Round the Garden

This week found me working on Round the Garden whenever I had a chance to stitch. I have now finished all the houses and felt trees in the final outer circle so I started working on the embroidered trees Friday afternoon then continued Saturday. I can now safely say I am on the home stretch...whew.....almost there.

The last couple of photos turned out darker not sure why :(

Christmas Table Topper

I spent Friday afternoon stitching with friends at Sewn and Quilted. I did manage to stitch two more felt houses on my round the Garden while we chattered.
Once I got home I kept the stitching going by finishing off another Christmas table topper.
Then I cut out the parts for a tilda doll and also managed to stuff them ready to sew them together .
To see what others got up to go here....
Thanks Cheryll for hosting another fun night.

Christmas Quilt as You Go Table Topper

I had a Christmas stitchery from a few years ago so I decided to try and make a  quilt as you go Table Topper.
My first attempt was quick and easy,I just started by cutting my stitchery block into hexagon shape then I just added the fabric in a log cabin sequence.
