Stitching with Friends and Bucilla Christmas Stockings.

Stitching with Sue, Anna and Dawn today, again kept us warm on another very chilly day.
We began our journey making Bucilla Xmas stockings with Dawn from  Sewmuchtoquilt  as our teacher. We were so excited to start this new adventure with Dawn at the helm.....hehe.
Again I forgot to take photos but the ladies just asked me to post mine until next lesson as we will have lots more done.

Also Dawn finished her beautiful jewellery keep.

We missed Kaye today but look forward to her joining us again for our next stitching day and lessons on Bucilla felt kits with Dawn.

Happy stitching........

La Passacaglia

Two large Passacaglia rosettes ready for the final half row, I am still deciding on the colour for the last half row which will connect the rosettes. I think I will wait untill I finish the third large rosette and a couple of the smaller ones.

Stitching with Friends

Enjoying another stitching day with Sue, Anna and Kaye kept us warm while we chattered, reviewing books, movies, social media and current affairs. We missed Dawn again, but she sent along some pics of her work.

Double Slice Layer Cake

I spent part of Friday preparing blocks for a double slice layer cake quilt. I watched "you tube " Missouri Star Quilt Company's" Video       http://youtu.be/jxC-0T5lXw4
for instructions. Such a simple block but very effective I think.

Oh I didn't have the full layer cake as I had used some for another project, but I am happy with this size which make a lovely lap quilt. Best of all I am slowly working my way through some of my stash instead of holding on to it for that special pattern which I never seem to find. Now to add a small border and quilt it. Actually it will match my Tuffet that I made using the same fabrics..yay...

To see what the other ladies got up to for Friday night with friends go here  thank you Chez for hosting another wonderful night.

Happy stitching.......
