Dutch Treat

The other day I went to my sewing room to start to declutter and finish some UFOs.
I decided to make a small runner with the few blocks I had made out of the Dutch Treat book which I started a long time ago but never went any further with them. So I started joining the 4 1/2" blocks together with a quarter inch sashing strip between the blocks. 3 across by 6 down making a total of 18 blocks. BUT when I saw them joined up in the strips I fell in love with them again and have now decided to make another 18 and see how I feel about them, keep going or stop.

Happy stitching.......

Sit and Stitch and New Project 2018

Winter Village by Laundry Basket Quilts.

We had our first sit and stitch for 2018 on Thursday. Dawn, Anna ,Sue and myself  were so excited as we are starting a new project. We spent the day sorting our fabric packs and marking which fabric was for which house, roof, window etc. That took us most of the day then we sat back enjoyed fresh fruit platter and chattered about the project and various other subjects.
The story so far..

Sue popped by with a lovely surprise for me Natalie Bird's book  "Cottage -Style Charm".
Thank you so much Sue I love the book.

Happy stitching.............
